Convention and Visitors Bureau
The new office of the Savannah Area Convention and Visitors Bureau includes a large visitor Center which offers up-to-date information on Savannah area attractions and facilities. Visitor Center hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday- Friday.

Free Shuttle Bus Service
Chatham Area Transit provides FREE transportation service on its Cat Shuttles between the Savannah Visitors Center on MLK, Jr. Boulevard and the waterfront, as well as, throughout the historic district. The shuttle makes five stops in the waterfront area.

Public Parking
In addition to the several public parking areas and garages near River Street. Parking will also be available starting March 2000, for up to 1,500 vehicles behind the new Trade & Convention Center on Hutchinson Island (Just a two-minute ferry ride to River Street.)

River Street Visitor Center
VISITOR INFORMATION, RESTROOM FACILITIES AND ELEVATOR. Operated by the City of Savannah and staffed by visitor service specialists from the Savannah Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. An elevator connecting the River Street/Bay Street levels is located behind the center on the west side of the City Hall building. Hours for the Visitor Center and restrooms are from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., daily.

Water Ferry Transportation
A water transportation system including ferries and water taxis link Hutchinson Island with River Street and Chatham Area Transit’s free shuttle bus service.
