Savannah Tall Ships

May 3-7, 2012 with festival dates of May 4-6, 2012

It will take place on the historic banks of the Savannah River and will bring between 10 and 15 of the most magnificent tall ships into our City from North and South America, France and other ports abroad. We are the official starting point of the Tall Ships America® Tall Ships Challenge® 2012 Atlantic race series; ending in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the race will reach over 3.5 million people this summer!

We expect an international fleet of fully rigged, multi-masted tall ships to grace our riverfront arriving on Thursday, May 3 and departing in a Parade of Sail on Monday, May 7, 2012. It promises to be one of the most colorful and spectacular ticketed festivals our city has ever seen and will celebrate the art of Savannah itself, our rich maritime/nautical history and will recognize the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.
